Marty Seymour - Chief Operating Officer
Marty Seymour has 25 years experience in business development and finance. In Mr. Seymour’s previous role with Farm Credit Canada, he engaged with national industry associations, government officials, and industry influencers to help advance the interests of Canadian agriculture in areas of Carbon Management, Carbon Sequestration and First Nations Agri-Business.
In Marty’s role as CEO of Canadian Western Agribition, Marty was instrumental in positioning Regina as an international agriculture centre of excellence. Mr. Seymour has been involved in multiple trade missions to South East Asia, Australia, and the US. He has held various Board posts over the years including the economic development board seats of First Nations and Innovation Saskatchewan and currently sits on the University of Saskatchewan's Board of Governors.
Marty’s reputation as a connector and thought leader recently earned him the distinction of CWA’s Top 50 in Canadian Agriculture for his contribution to the industry.
JACELYN CASE - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Jacelyn Case CPA, CMA has over 15 years experience in financial management and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controllership, internal controls, and treasury management. She is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, leads and manages the company’s accounting, HR ERP, treasury and operational efficiencies. Ms. Case's past and present experience also includes that of Chief Financial Officer of publicly traded and private companies.
WAYNE BERNAKEVITCH, QC - GOVERNANCE & REGULATORY & MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Wayne Bernakevitch is a senior business lawyer with the law firm, McDougall Gauley LLP, the oldest law firm in Saskatchewan. With over 25 years of experience, Wayne specializes in business development, corporate and business structuring, organization and reorganization of businesses and corporate governance. Mr. Bernakevitch is appointed to the Queen’s Counsel and was awarded “Best Lawyers in Canada“ and "Lawyer of the Year” for Corporate Governance Practice.
Michelle Westerman – legal administrator – secretary to the board of directors
Michelle Westerman obtained her law degree in South Africa over 25 years ago and has significant experience in Canada with public and private company regulatory, compliance and administrative filings. Ms. Westerman has served as Secretary and Legal Administrator to many Board of Directors of publicly traded and private corporations.
NATHAN CLARK – SPECIAL ADVISOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL FINANCIAL PRODUCTS
Nathan Clark presently is the Managing Director of North America for INCUBEX. Nathan was previously a Managing Director at Environmental Financial Products, a firm that specializes in inventing and developing new financial instruments for the environment. Nathan also served as Managing Director and Senior Vice President for Chicago Climate Exchange. In that capacity, Nathan managed the process of defining and implementing project-based emission reduction initiatives including methane capture, forestry, energy efficiency, and many others. Nathan was also Vice President of Wabashco, LLC where he oversaw research and the development of a portfolio of clean fuels and alternative energy projects. Nathan is a co-author of the books Sustainable Investing in Environmental Markets published by World Scientific Press, and Environmental Markets: A New Asset Class, published by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
PAT FIACCO - REGIONAL MANAGER - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Pat Fiacco served as the Mayor of Regina from 2000 to 2012. After his time in office, Pat served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Saskatchewan and the Hospitals of Regina Foundation. Pat started Fiacco and Company Management Group which focussed on the economic development for First Nations, primarily in Saskatchewan. Since that time, Pat has worked with many First Nations in Western Saskatchewan focused on self-fulfilled economic sovereignty initiatives.
Steve Lajoie - Regional Manager- Business Development
Kristy Shaw - Business Development & Executive Assistant to the COO
Kristy Shaw is Cree and Metis from Piapot First Nation on Treaty 4 Territory. During her early working years in the private sector, Kristy built her foundation in business ideology on the importance of teamwork, workplace culture, efficiency, and branding. With over 10 years experience with the Government of Saskatchewan as a Senior Constituency Advisor, Kristy assisted the MLA in his various duties. During this time, she gained a special interest in campaign support with involvement in multiple successful campaigns. Kristy graduated from the First Nations University of Canada with a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Social Work and has been working with a local CBO that focuses on training, education, and Indigenous inclusion.
Doug Whitehead - Operations Administrator
Doug Whitehead has over 15 years experience with business development project administration. Mr. Whitehead has provided administrative expertise on various projects within emerging businesses and existing construction sectors.
Doug works with the Regional Sales Manager(s) on procuring sales and liaises with customers in providing assistance, as well as ensuring all business development administrative requirements are coordinated on a timely basis.
DR. WALID ELMOUDIR - ORIGINATION MANAGER - Blue Hydrogen & Industrial Liquids Reclamation
Dr. Walid ElMoudir is a recognized industry expert in CO2 mitigation & management with a focus on process simulation & modelling, process design, optimization, and economic analysis. He has specific experience in CO2 cleanup required in the production of blue hydrogen, with subject matter expertise in acid gas removal systems, solvent purification, oil refining, water desalination, and is a successful author, co-inventor and multiple patent originator of contaminated, industrial liquids, reclamation-and-recycling technology. He has a BSc. and MSc. In Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. from the University of Regina.
DR. AHMED ABOUDHEIR - ORIGINATION MANAGER - Carbon Capture & Management
Dr. Aboudheir is the Chief Technology Officer of Delta CleanTech Inc. and is a globally recognized author & leader in CO2 capture and management. Dr. Aboudheir’s authored and peered reviewed 19 white papers, specifically in the field of modelling and simulation of complex chemical processes, design/optimization of solvents and optimum design of CO2 capture and management systems, solvent reclaimers and hydrogen reformers, are utilized globally by industry, engineering design software companies, and academic institutions. He has a BSc. and MSc. in Chemical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems Engineering. He is a recipient of the Government of Saskatchewan Commemorative Medal for Scientific Research and Community Services.
DR. TONY YANG - ORIGINATION MANAGER - C02 Inground & Reservoir Sequestration
Dr. Yang holds BSc, MSc, and a double Ph.D. degree in petroleum engineering from the China University of Petroleum and a Ph.D. degree in petroleum systems engineering from the University of Regina. Dr. Yang’s major expertise includes CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and gaseous storage, gaseous phase behavior, and CO2 sequestration. In addition to holding three patents, he has authored or coauthored more than 270 refereed journal articles and conference papers with over 4,400 Google Scholar Citations. Dr. Yang is the recipient of the 2011 SPE Canadian Region Formation Evaluation Award, 2013 SPE Canadian Region Reservoir Description and Dynamics Award, and 2018 SPE Canadian Region Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering, respectively. He is an associate editor for the Journal of Energy Resources Technology (2015- 2021).
TODD BEASLEY- ORIGINATION MANAGER - Methane Collection & destruction
Mr. Beasley has more than 30 years experience in natural gas, processing, solvent management & liquids reclamation. He has been awarded numerous method and apparatus patents specializing in gas treating solvent purification and managing supersaturated solvents. He is an expert in positive and negative pressure distillation processes, and sub & supercritical extraction. Mr. Beasley has managed research relationships with leading corporations, universities and research centres worldwide, and is considered a subject-matter-expert on methane collection, methane combustion, and methane incineration.
JEFF GROSS - ORIGINATION MANAGER - Agriculture
Mr. Gross was the Co-founder and General Manager of C-Green Aggregators which became North Americas most prolific Agri Carbon Credit Originator and Streamer. Mr. Gross is considered a pioneer and innovator in the agriculture voluntary credit market and has an extensive background in agricultural carbon credit auditing, verification & certification, regenerative agriculture and high biomass/zero tillage farm production.
Kris heshka – origination manager - forestry & fibre
Kris Heshka is an experienced business executive with a technology driven focus on forestry fibre and cellulose alternative fibre. Mr. Heshka has invented and designed new innovations in this sector that address CO2 footprint reduction in process design and forestry product production.
Clint vos – origination manager mining, aggregates & materials
Clint Vos is the co-founder and CEO of a large quarrying, aggregates, and recycling company and has extensive industry experience in quarry production, aggregate processing, concrete and asphalt recycling, and materials management.
